The real heart of the DFW Chapter is the talent that all of our volunteers contribute. They work on the various committee, giving their time and talents to make our Chapter one of the best in the country. They have great employers who encourage them to participate and even fund many of our programs.

Programs
This team produces the monthly Chapter Meetings that are so interesting to attend. They come up with the themes, set the agendas, secure speakers, arrange locations and the dinners for each meeting. They work diligently with all of the other committees to make sure our offerings are serving the needs of the membership. |

Membership
Services
Their goal is to increase the membership of our local chapter by recruiting Facilities Professionals.
They also help assimilate the new members into the chapter and help them get involved in Committees. |

Community
Relations
Since our professionals bring many talents to our local Chapter this group strives to organize opportunities to use those talents to give back to the community. These event can take the form of a "Habitant for Humanities" project or a "Toys for Tots" collection. They are seeking to stretch our membership in the areas of public service. |

|
Associates
Our Associates are very valuable to our chapter in that they support us financially and their employees give many volunteer hours to work on various teams for the Chapter. This team recruits local Associate Members, plugs them into sponsorship opportunities for our Chapter and provides volunteering opportunities. They are also involved in helping Associates create lead sharing groups. |

Golf
Our Golf Tournament is our largest charity fundraiser. This team recommends the venue, organizes the event, recruits players and sponsors and then executes the event on the day of the Tournament. |

Holiday
Party
Once a year we get together to celebrate the Holiday Season. Our Holiday Committee recommends the venue, books all of the necessary elements and then executes the event. A fun team to be on! |

Communications
This group provides the vital communication that our Chapter Members need. They work with the website to communicate events, record pictures of past events and bring us relevant material the furthers our Profession. |

Awards
As we celebrate the accomplishments of our various members this group will officially recognize those successes. This recognition occurs on the local Chapter level and also on the International level. |

Job
Bank
Our job bank is a repository for both open employment position and resumes of individuals looking for new positions. It is an opportunity to work with individuals and Corporations to create matches that fill the needs of both. |

Education
Education is the key to staying on top of the Facilities Profession. Our Education Committee strives to bring programs to advance the beginners while also challenging the more seasoned professionals. They are always seeking opportunities to bring to our chapter leading edge practices and developments in the industry to keep our members one step ahead of the curve. |

Environmental
Environmental issues are the new hot topic in the media. The facilities Profession has been involved with environmental consciousness for over two decades and continues to lead the way in those areas. Whether it is a Green initiative of LEADS certifications our members are already involved. This group is very involved educating us on the best practices and in promoting those concepts. |

Metrocon
MetroCon is the premier tradeshow and convention organized through landmark volunteer collaboration between the Texas Chapter of ASID [American Society of Interior Designers], the Dallas / Fort Worth Chapter of IFMA [International Facility Management Association], and the Texas / Oklahoma Chapter of IIDA, to strengthen the design and facility management communities. Our committee represents the interests of the IFMA organization in the development of this event. |

Relations
Promoting IFMA and the Facilities Profession in the local community is the main challenge of this group. They strive to increase the visibility of our chapter offerings to the general public and publicize the accomplishments of the local chapter members. Local recognition of our profession in the community is their goals. |

Technology
Our newest committee has taken on the task of researching new technologies and helping us integrate those offerings. Some of the events this group will host are; round table discussions on technology, pod casts, web casts and a host of new technology offerings we are just starting to research. |
