LEED Basic Training Workshops | Quality Assessment Course | Metrocon 08 Click Here to Download the LEED Information Sheet This year, the US Green Building Council is pleased to announce the first of a series of LEED Basic Training sessions for the construction industry, not the design professional. These sessions will assist general contractors, sub-contractors, product suppliers, and manufacturers in the basic knowledge of LEED and what could be required during the LEED process at a construction site. Sessions will include presentations from local organizations such as Waste Management, RWR Recycling, City of Plano, Donate IT, Texas Carpet Recycling, EPA Region 6, and the USGBC. Sessions will cover the following topics: 1. Overview of LEED and USGBC 2. Required documentation for LEED submittals with examples 3. Overview of waste reduction and recyclable materials, waste stream analysis, on-site processes, logistics, and materials identification 4. Case studies of local LEED certified buildings with pictures 5. Take home list of local vendors/recyclers/haulers Cost: $20.00 for USGBC North Texas Chapter members Please RSVP for each event at https://www.signmeup.com Seating will be limited to the first 75 registrants.
